Finn had a rough few weeks...very irritable, fussy, and would scream for hours at a time at night. He seemed like he was in pain from his belly, he would arch his back and be as stiff as a board. I feel like I called the pediatrician every day! He would only sleep in my arms and would not stay asleep long if he was laid down. Naps were constantly interrupted by gas bubbles(I am assuming). We changed formulas 4 times, switched bottles, went through gallons of Mylicon, tried Gripe Water, and probiotics. We learned every burping/gas-expelling trick in the book! He was finally put on Zantac for acid reflux although he is not a typical acid reflux baby (babies with acid reflux usually spit up alot- Finn does not). We seem to have found a solution- Similac Sensitive formula, Mylicon drops, with a dose of Zantac every 12 hours.

Typical night of pacing and rocking. We found that he liked to stare at his "F" nautical flag artwork- it would make him stop crying for a minute or two at least. |
Finn finally passed out in the Baby Bjorn and I was able to lay him down...he stayed asleep probably 20 minutes. |
I was able to get him to sleep this way for a few days: tightly swaddled, in his carseat, with his sound machine on top of him....whatever it takes! |

Hating his swing |

Just not happy some days... |
Delaney took this picture of Lucy, Finn, and I one afternoon. It got to the point that he would just scream and that became normal. |
He spent alot of time in the sling. I learned to cook very well wearing a baby. |
I started to let him nap on his belly...it seemed to settle him down. |
This is what we have been through this past month- 4 different formulas, Zantac, Mylicon, Gripe Water, Probiotics, and a change in bottles....not to mention the wine for Kenny and I! |
Sleeping on his changing table...again, whatever works. |
