Sea World Halloween Spooktacular

We took the kids to this event at sea World today- it was a lot of fun! They got to go trick or treating in the park and we watched a special halloween-theme Sesame Street show. They had a bunch of game booths set up, and each girl won a prize- Delaney won a giant stuffed Shamu for knocking all the bottles over! We went to church this morning to watch Delaney sing, so we only spent about 5 hours in the park, but that was enough! We've been to Sea World a lot this year!

My Birthday!

I had a fun day that started with watching Delaney's choir perform at church! She did so good and was adorable! When they stood to sing, she was the smallest in the bunch!

Then I took Lucy to her friend Lily's birthday party at Little Gym in Port Orange. I love seeing she and her friends play and be silly together! Then Lucy and I went to Target to get some finishing touches for the girls' Halloween costumes. We played with colored hair spray, had dinner made by Kenny, then a nice brownie cake. They were trying to surprise me and light the candles in the laundry room, but as soon as Finn saw the cake he started singing his own version of "Happy. birthday"! So cute!

Homemade Donuts!

The girls and I decided to make donuts from biscuits! You just cut out the center, fry in vegetable oil, then toss in cinnamon sugar! Yummy! Everyone loved them!

Finn Gets Physical...

So Finn isn't even 20 months old...he doesn't say much, but his physical/gross motor development is crazy! This morning he started doing forward rolls and he started galloping!! He already jumps with two feet off the ground and runs like a mad-man! He climbs on everything and loves to wrestle! Such a BOY!!

Girls Bedroom Re-do

Kenny and I had been talking about getting the girls bunk beds or Kenny building them loft beds to be able to get them more space in their room for desks as they get older.  Kenny had been figuring out plans, but then we went to IKEA and found this bunk bed so cheap that it didn't make sense to build them ourselves.  I also decided to just re-do the WHOLE room and give it a new vibe!  I have been browsing Pinterest for inspiration and came up with a bunch of fun ideas! We still are going to paint the bunk beds white, but wanted to get them set up and see how they looked with the new wall colors.  The girls decided Delaney would get the top bunk for this year, then Lucy gets the top starting next year!

Primed the old vertical stripes and added new horizontal stripes! Much more relaxing!

Cheapo bookcase re-do: added graphic fabric to the back for a pop of color!

Desk re-do: spray painted the neighbors hand-me-down desks!  The girls LOVE them!

Finn's 18 Month Check-Up (but he's really 19 months)

Finn had his 18 onth check up today and is such a big man now!  He jumped up on the big kid scale and got weighed and measured, just like his sisters!  He sat so still and let them examine him, Dr. Ahmed couldn't get over how friendly he was! He weights 25 1/4 lb and is 32 1/4" tall.  He's still in the 40th percentile for weight and they want us to start him on Pediasure to make sure he's getting enough nutrients since he's not a fan of milk!  He also got 3 shots and shed some big tears!

Finn wears size 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.  His shoes seem to be getting a bit small!! He isn't much of an eater- some days he likes something, the next day he won't!  He doesn't like many vegetables, but loves his fruits.  He is so active and loves climbing! He can jump with both of his feet off the ground already!  He doesn't say many words, but they will come!  Here is his list so far:

He still naps 1-2 times a day, goes to bed around 7:30 or 8 and sleeps until around 6:45 or 7.  He's a great sleeper and LOVES his binky and Gator football banket! We've introduced him to a potty chair, but he just shakes his head and says "uh uh" when I ask if he wants to try it!  We were trying to let his hair grow out a bit and get it like a surfer cut, but his hair is pretty thick and it was just poofing up on top and the line around his head looked ridiculous!  So we are back to his trusty buzz cut! He looks like such a stud muffin to me! Finn is just the sweetest little man!
