Delaney's 1st School Project
Delaney had to do a project on a character of a book and she chose Ladybug Girl and the Bug Squad! The character's name is Lulu and she made her out of a juice bottle that we paper mâchéd. She then painted it and added wings, eyes, etc. She had to do a presentation in front of her class describing the book and character and her teacher said she did "fantastic." Her project is now on display in the school library!

Happy 5th Birthday, LaLaLucy!
Lucy is just the cutest, funniest, and smartest 5 year old we know! She continues to be the child who questions and analyzes everything Kenny and I say! You can't get away with anything around Lucy! She is so inquisitive and observant! If Kenny and I can't remember something, there is a good chance Lucy will! She does attempt to assert her independence at every chance she gets. We've been told it's a middle child thing?!?! She has to choose her clothes/lunch for the day, I can't just lay things out for her or make her any kind of sandwich. She gets upset when she doesn't have a say. She is very strong-willed, and that will pay off later in life for her, I just know it! She and Delaney still get along well, about 50% of the time! They are butting heads lately, especially since Lucy can do most of what Delaney does at this point! It's hard to separate the two of them and realize they are 17 months apart! Lucy is trying to read lately and knows all of her phonics. She can count to 100 and her handwriting is so good! She is going to VPK 5 days a week now at The Children's Workshop and LOVES it there, especially her little friends! We have a fun LaLaLoopsie-themed birthday party planned in December for all her girlfriends from school! We went to her 5 year well-child checkup the other day and she weighed 41 lb and was 43 3/4" tall (75th percentile for both). She is wearing size 5 clothes now and size 11 shoes. She loves wearing skinny jeans, boots, and tutu's. She loves singing, especially all the current pop music hits! Her best friend is Lily from school, she continues to LOVE macaroni and cheese, and wants to be a nurse when she grows up!
Happy 5th Birthday Dear Lucy! You light up our lives!

Twister
We bought the game of Twister and had a great time playing with the girls tonight! Lucy was cracking us up with her positions, hence Kenny's quote of the day: "Nobody spun left hand vagina."

Halloween 2012
This Halloween Delaney was Jem, the 80's cartoon rock star, Lucy was Katy Perry, and Finn was a fireman. I dressed up as an 80's girl for Zack's halloween birthday party! Nana was a biker chick with leather chaps and vest! Halloween was filled with the traditional classroom festivities and costume parade at TCW. Finn and I even got to help with Lucy's classroom party! We went to the Cannon's for their annual block party and they roasted a pig for dinner. There were a ton of kids trick or treating together and they loved it! Finn really understood this year and didn't want to miss a house! Delaney was excited because she got to trick or treat at her teacher Mrs. Hoskin's house!

Sea World Halloween Spooktacular
We took the kids to this event at sea World today- it was a lot of fun! They got to go trick or treating in the park and we watched a special halloween-theme Sesame Street show. They had a bunch of game booths set up, and each girl won a prize- Delaney won a giant stuffed Shamu for knocking all the bottles over! We went to church this morning to watch Delaney sing, so we only spent about 5 hours in the park, but that was enough! We've been to Sea World a lot this year!

My Birthday!
I had a fun day that started with watching Delaney's choir perform at church! She did so good and was adorable! When they stood to sing, she was the smallest in the bunch!
Then I took Lucy to her friend Lily's birthday party at Little Gym in Port Orange. I love seeing she and her friends play and be silly together! Then Lucy and I went to Target to get some finishing touches for the girls' Halloween costumes. We played with colored hair spray, had dinner made by Kenny, then a nice brownie cake. They were trying to surprise me and light the candles in the laundry room, but as soon as Finn saw the cake he started singing his own version of "Happy. birthday"! So cute!

Homemade Donuts!
The girls and I decided to make donuts from biscuits! You just cut out the center, fry in vegetable oil, then toss in cinnamon sugar! Yummy! Everyone loved them!
